Frequently asked questions

Which service do you recommend for fish processing?

They all do a great job and offer a product that can not be offered on our trips out of San Diego. Reservations need to be made the minute you know your fishing trip dates. Five Star is very accommodating to our needs especially trips that return in the evening as opposed to most of our AM arrival times. Same day service is an option for AM returning trips based on their availability.

Where does Success depart from and when should I arrive for my trip?

The Success is located on the second ramp down the main pier at Point Loma Sportfishing

1403 Scott Street
San Diego Ca. 92106

We recommend you arrive 1 hour prior to scheduled departure time in the event we are able to leave early.

What kind of personal effects should I bring on my trip?

As far as clothes go we recommend dressing warm and in layers. Water resistant light jacket helps keep the night moist air out of your core. Proper footwear is key, flip flops or open toe shoes discouraged, deck boots are ideal for getting down in trenches when the fish are getting with it, otherwise anything with good non skid sole. Not that anyone goes anywhere with out their phone but a good camera to capture the action. Sunglasses are a good idea for eye protection and sunscreen or wide brim hat is recommended.

Not on the boat.
